CARS OF THE PAST RAG QUILT



My nephew Davids birthday is coming up this month so I just had to design a rag quilt with the theme of cars for him. He is so full of energy and is just about the sweetest little bugger you will ever meet. I used a 8 x 8 square and a 1/2 seam allowance to sew each block together.

A tool that is a must have when doing a rag quilt would have to be an electric sweater shaver. This makes the process of getting all the lint off the quilt once it has gone through the washing and drying process.

SUNSHINE AND SMILES RAG QUILT



This Rag Quilt was made for a special little someone in my area. The bright vibrant colors are so cute together. A Rag Quilt is a perfect gift for any time of the year or any occasion.

I also made a matching pillow case and tied it all together with hot pink ribbon.



VINTAGE RAG QUILT

This rag quilt was created for an Auction for a young lady to help cover cost of tuition for college. She is an exchange student here in Northern Maine. I think the color combinations and prints work well together to give it a vintage look. There are so many great prints in Flannel. I started with an 8" block and did a 1/2" seam on all sides. This made it a finished block size of 7".

There are so many quilt blocks that can be used to create a rag quilt and this is one of my favorites that is very easy to do. It is also a quick and easy pattern to follow.
