I wanted a way to hold my magazines upright while I worked on a pattern or project but living in Northern Maine most of my craft stores are hours away. The nearest one is 2 1/2 hours so I have to improvise with items around the house. So I sound some old wooden dowels 1/4 & 5/16 inches. A piece of 3/4" thick pine wood measured to 19 1/2" x 7 1/4" along with some black spray paint.
